Kokkalis Foundation sponsors the Mikis Theodorakis International Festival in Zatouna

Kokkalis Foundation sponsored the 5th Mikis Theodorakis International Festival, which
took place between June 19 & 21, in Arcadia, Zatouna.
The festival is co-organized by the Mikis Theodorakis Museum of Zatouna (Ark of Youth
and His Visions), the Municipality of Gortynia and the Association of Friends of Music of
Athens. It takes place under the auspices of the Hellenic Parliament and the Central
Union of Municipalities of Greece and is supported by the Peloponnese Region.
This year the festival honored poet Yannis Ritsos and Mikis Theodorakis, for the poet’s
emblematic work “Epitaphios”, 90 years since the uprising of May 9, 1936 in
Thessaloniki.
