Kokkalis Foundation sponsors the 1st Experimental General Lyceum of N. Ionia in Magnesia

Kokkalis Foundation sponsors the 1st Experimental General Lyceum of N. Ionia in Magnesia, a refugee area that has been severely affected by floods in the past.

This constitutes a continuation of the sponsorship by Intracom Holdings to the excellent team of students, members of the school's REM -Robot Ex Machina team, which was created by the school’s educational group of Excellence and Innovation in Robotics. The team, consisting of 3 Lyceum students and 2 teachers, created a robotic system that records the occurrence of an earthquake or a fire, and gives a signal to a 2^nd robot located at a station. The 2^nd robot goes out into the street, starts tracking, detects possible obstacles and marks out a safe route to a shelter, where citizens can be protected.

Kokkalis Foundation's sponsorship will cover the school's needs for robotic and computing equipment, the creation of a robotic system for detecting and correcting leaks in pipelines, and other future actions of the Lyceum.
