I grew up in an environment where there was a deep appreciation for the academic environment and its work. My father, professor Petros Kokkalis, taught me important principles, according to which science is not only related to technological progress, but also to the full development and empowerment of man, as well as to the provision of equal opportunities to all.

 

In memory of my father, who devoted his entire life defending these principles, I created the Kokkalis Foundation, as a minimum recognition of his ideals and an effective vehicle for realizing his vision.
