During its twenty years course, the Kokkalis Foundation  achieved important and successful collaborations.  The Foundation acting as a strategic partner of the World Economic Forum in the organization of the Southeast European Meeting’s (SEEM) in 2003, the Queen Rania Scholarship Program for Jordanian students at Athens Information Technology, inaugurated by Queen Rania herself during her visit in 2005 in Athens, and the five-year extension of the program in 2009, the collaboration between the Kokkalis Foundation and Istanbul Bilgi University’s European Institute in the field of Greek and Turkish studies in 2008, the awards to Greek internationally recognized scientists, i.e. to Dr. Thanasis Oikonomou,  professor of Astrophysics at the University of Chicago and a scientific researcher at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 2009, and to Mr. Efthimios Mitropoulos, the seventh Secretary-General of UN’s International Maritime Organization, in 2010, (during the annual NIKI award event, established and organized by the Friends of Athens Information Technology), are only some of the several synergies.
